I remember our first meeting;
how we were speechless.
I remember how you laughed,
and how your cheeks would smile too.
I think back to all the times we've shared,
and it brings an amber wave of tears to these sunsetting eyes.

I don't want to look forward,
to another day without you.
It's just too much to bear,
and my heart aches as well,
I admit...I'm really scared.
What will I do, when the world turns it back on me
and you're not there...
Where will I rest my head when I'm tired and God wont answer my
prayers...
through you.
In your eyes, there's a solace.

Where I have settled in for so long.

because I would rather cry a thousand nights
than to be away from you.
Amber waves of tears,
warm on my skin...
Sunsetting eyes
as I watch the whole world leave me behind.
