He Died At Thirteen

The lights once bright
Have now gone dim
The walls of life
Are closing in
No questions to ask
No answers to give
They ponder, “to die”
Or rather “to live”
In a world of hate
Built on lies
Everyone’s left
To criticize
The colors of purple
Black and blue
The nightmares occurred
Have now come true
Heart filled with hate
Eyes filled with tears
The moment of terrors
The moment of fears
Little and innocent you think
“Could this happen to me?”
But yet it was true
He died at thirteen
