Don't Belong

I have to leave this town,
It's not where I belong.
I have to find a new beat,
And sing a new song.

I don't fit in,
Don't think I ever will.
You see right through me,
There are new shoes to fill.

Made some bad choices,
That infected my soul,
Leaving total nothingness,
Leaving a giant hole.

Don't want to be like them,
And yet I do,
Living my life alone,
But the memories get me through.

I'm stuck in a world
With meaningless rules,
The heavens cry out,
The rain gathers in pools.

The whole truth is
There is no meaning in my life,
I don't belong anywhere,
Maybe I'm stupid enough to end all my strife.
