Sun And Night

The sun and I
have always been friends.
When I am pale,
he turns me into gold.
I feel loved, I feel bright,
just like a firefly.
If only for a moment
I have a time to shine,
the sun will be there in the morning,
and it will be all mine.
I rest upon its joyful rays,
and dream about it's journey.
How long did it take you, sun?
How was your trip?
Why is it me, that you have chosen to love?
I am covered in your warmth,
and I feel so fine.
You go with me, almost everywhere.
But oh how I love the night,
and its romantic solace.
If I had to chose,
between he and you...
I would remain silent.
The night grabs me,
and kisses me with passion.
He shows me things with beauty.
He lays his starry eyes,
upon my tender face.
Night woo's me,
with his peaceful lullaby.
He calls upon nature,
to make my eyes grow dim.
Until I meet the sun again.
