You were there for me through it all
Through the tears, deaths, and lies.
Never once did you let me fall.
I trusted you with my life.

But through the years things have changed
And you are becoming someone I never thought you’d be
No longer do you seem to care about others.
Sometimes I even wonder if you care about me.

Friendship is to be based on trust
But now I’m finding that hard to do
After what you did to me
I can no longer put trust in you.

I’ve heard enough excuses
Enough apologies and selfish lies
You said you’d never hurt me like this
And you’d never make me cry.

If you never really meant to hurt me
And if what you’re saying is true
If you really don’t want a relationship with him
Then why don’t you tell him the truth.

I’ve learned a valuable lesson
And I’ll never make the mistake again
It’s true you can’t trust anybody
Not even your own best friend.
