A girl is laying in her room,
Watching the outside rain,
This sad quiet girl is very gloom,
As she lays on her bed in pain.

Her parents are no longer together,
In a fight over her.
As her father says he'll love her forever,
She realizes her life is over.

The girl used to do well in school,
This is no longer true.
She hung with the wrong crowd to be cool,
Now she comes home black and blue.

This girls stepfather beats her at home,
You can hear her cries at night.
When she is alone,
She lays on her bed in silence but also in fright.
