Night Run Away

She’s running
Deeper into the woods
No turning back
Not any good
She hates the life she was in
She would have taken death over that life
But she fought
And left
And wanted a new life
A new rest
Ran into the woods
All alone
Late at night
No one home
The wind blew her tears down her cheek
So much crying
Always to weak
She didn’t want to look back
She didn’t have the power
She ran from her life in that hour
She tripped over roots
She stomped on the weeds
She hated the land
She was going to leave
A while from her house
She decides to stop
Crying and sobbing
She stops herself
“What am I thinking?
Why am I leaving?
What was so bad?
Where am I to go?
How am I to survive?”
But she knew the answers
She knew she didn’t want to die…
