A horrible dream
came to me today
I dreamt that the world
was all but decay.
I cried in my sleep
for all those people who died
as they paid for their sins
and numerous lies.
How helpless they are
bleeding in the street
screaming for help
as life they try to keep.
I wish I could help them
but I'm not really there
I'm an invisible figure
floating in thin air.
My tears fall like rain
splashing on that earth
they don't know true life
or what happiness is worth.
But then something changed
and the sun began to show
those dead rose back to life
and their faces began to glow.
I can't explain the feeling
that came over me just then
it was nothing I had felt before
or will ever feel again.
The world became so lively
with movement all around
the people seemed to dance
with their feet up of the ground.
I couldn't believe my ears
after all the things I saw
the world was now a different place
it was perfect, without flaw.
But then I finally realized
the place that I was at
it wasn't earth at all
it was heaven, I'll tell you that.
That great golden sunshine
made me feel so great
but then I looked back at earth
and seen their destructive state.
they live their life without one care
as if they'l never die
killing other's spirit
with again, those numerous lies.
I wish I could go back to tell them
of all the things I've seen
but heaven doesn't let you out
and eternity isn't a dream.
