Holding Me Hostage

As I watch you walking through the park,
I suddenly feel unknown emotions.
I cannot help but stare,
That sweet innocent smile leaves me mesmerized.
The way your face is lit up by something so precious,
It makes me realize only you could make me feel this way

The way the sunlight hits your face,
It makes your gorgeous blue eyes shimmer and sparkle.
I am left mesmerized,
and unable to be set free.
With one glance,
I am led into a world of love and passion;
Unable to break away.

I have the urge to kiss your soft lips;
And let all the feelings I have for you unleashed.
I must contain myself;
Keep these strong emotions bottled up inside.
I feel like I’m in a cage,
Someone holding my feelings for you hostage,
someone discouraging me from loving you.
Many tell me to move on,
and remind me his heart is taken.
But I know its not that simple to let go,
Let go of something you feel so strongly.
Right now all I know is,
You will always have a special place in my heart.
