But in all of this love is still the prize
the pain before and after

and sometimes small
if your lucky not noticed at all
only to be anesthetized by the
radiant smile of your mother
the gleaming eyes of your father
the joy and laughter of children
the beauty and passion between lovers
and our beating hearts that promise forever
