I lie on my bed
staring at my ceiling
Random thoughts strolling through my head
Your face emerges from the hidden corner
of my mind
You grin at me as I remember your embrace.

I am engulfed in a raging fire
I long for your pooling blood
Striking out, I see your sprawling body,
crashing to the ground
I glare at empty space.
I'm sick of your smooth words,
your laughing eyes.

Stay out of my head!
My body tenses, ready to fight
but no one is there.

I relax as I listen to the soothing voice,
The same voice that pushes me towards insanity
pulls me back to the reality,
the silence,
the empty room.
