A Sheltered Forest

inside a looming forest
I hide the darkness of my soul.
not another will look inside
to see the me I am.
they will never earn the right
to hear the voice I speak.
I speak only to myself
and that is pure and true.
they would never understand
the words under my breath.
I cry my tears of blood
that so do stain my face.
I cry for all the pain and hurt
and this world's hopelessness.
you are the one who sees my face
and knows what makes me cry.
the wound upon my hand
is evidence of my life.
for I cause the pain
that keeps me alive.
but you will help me heal
as you have a time before.
and this looming darkened forest
is all but now my home.
it gives me shelter
from the retched peace on earth.
will you join me
in this voyage to find death?
I do not want to go alone
but to have one's company.
inside a looming forest
I hide the darkness of my soul.
but yet you see my face.
