I dreamt of you, last night in bed
While I lie awake, for dreams I dread
For in the black, Dark hearts morn
But weep for the wed, and not for the dead
Often now I’ll dream of you
Mixed in slumber
Undead realism escapes my head
Fire burns the sheets away
But you, you smother the flames to save the day
And then again, you walk my dreams
As if you did this every day
But as day breaks, you’ll leave my side
My hopeless dreams then reside
But tonight, I shall dream again
And then, my dreams of you live once more
Free from the darkness, we’ll soar to the heavens
On leather wings of angels, lost in time
The moon and stars lie far behind us
And in the utter darkness, you’re my light
You fill my life with happiness
When once I was blind, I now can see
Though only because you’re here with me.
