Your fingers slip into my soul, around my heart
Long and cold and holding me tight, binding me tight
I used to love the way it felt,
Used to love the way you felt,
Inside me
Now it is nothing, now I feel nothing
But this unbearable grip on my being
This overwhelming emptiness that swallows the whole of me-
I am nothing without you, but I cannot breathe,
Cannot breathe when you are near me,
Die inside when you are near me-
How am I to endure, to live through each aching moment
Of this game we play, of this charade,
When I know that I am nothing to you
When I know inside that I mean nothing to you
I mean nothing, but you are my broken world
You are my existence, my demise-
You are my downfall,
I'm falling down,
But I'll hold you here with me-
Suffocating when I'm with you
