At first you feel like crying
and you beg God to dry your tears.
You sit and reminisce of all
the good times through the years
You stare at him across the room
and block that you still care
But you're still in love with the way
he runs his fingers through his hair
And when you're sick of crying
but you know you feel the same
You might stop feeling miserable
and instead hand him the blame
He'll ask you why your friends still vibe
and you'll turn and walk away
You'll tell him that you hate him
he'll have nothing left to say
You finally think that it's over
and that this must be the end
But then one day your heart stops
as he holds his new girlfriend
And you force yourself to realize
that in time you'll be okay
And the feelings that you felt at first
will slowly fade away..
