I saw loneliness in an alleyway, behind the buildings.
She was weakly standing so shy and unaware
She proceeded to walk in a daze; so unconscious of the world around her
I saw her pale snow-like skin, and her red wet eyes
Her arms were wrapped around her, as if to keep herself warm from her cold
surroundings, or comfort herself from some inexcusable pain.
She seemed to be waiting for someone; someone that may never come.
She slowly walked by me, head down.
I smiled cheerfully and said, “Good day! How are you?”
Then in her monotone voice she barely cracked a grin and replied, “Oh, I am
the same.”
As she passed I heard her cry
I looked back and felt her sadness.
