An angel sits
alone and away from light
her wings have been clipped
she has been strapped down so tight

she was caught in a landslide
when the world came crashing down
she was buried in the mud
there wasn't another sound

her light faded
dimed without a trace
she would never be found
no one would ever see her face

and angel sits
alone and away from light
her wings have been clipped
she had been strapped down so tight

she struggles and struggles
but no matter how hard she tries
she never gets out
even if she cries

she will be there forever
until the very end
her wounds will never heal
never get better, never mend

An angel sits
alone and away from light
her wings have been clipped
she has been strapped down so tight

no one will help her
it's as if it is a crime
goodbye my angel
see you some other time
