It kills me
More and more
When I’m not with you.
You’re constantly
On my mind
And distract everything I do.

When I get to see you again
Is the time that
I feel alive.
And when I’m not
I’m alone in my room
Watching myself cry.

Seeing you
I become speechless
As you dry my tears.
You’re something amazing
To be able to help me
Fight my fears.

Yet there is one
Fear that I hate to
Have on me.
It’s the fear
Of losing you,
My everything.

As I watch you
Walk slowly away
From my sight.
The tears come again
And I experience
Another sleepless night.

So again
Cutting comes
Across my mind.
Yet I stand strong
For I can’t go back
To that life.

I’ll once more
Sit and wait
To see you again.
And keep my promise
For I can’t lose you,
My only true friend.*
