in essence:

essentially i am convulsing;
twitching pulsing and releasing
little sparks of electricity
known as breathing.

you look at me with eyes
so complicated i can't find
the time to decipher or cut through the lies that have become
you and me.

my hand fiddling in my pockets
and my eyes flushing and bursting
out of my sockets as you sit there
smiling softly and coldhearted
as if this distance isn't killing us both.

as if this end is where we started.

i watch your lips make little waves
as you open your mouth
and say these things that can't possibly be
the thoughts that filled your spaces
in between and around
the thoughts now making their way out
sending cataclysmic pulses-
enough to shatter a heart.

and i guess it's okay
since some one has to pay
but lord knows i never asked
for it to be this way.

your smile will be the end of me.
