The pain of terror
As I fall on your bed of nails
Each one with a different name
One named deceit
One named destruction
One named horror
And one named impatience
All your so-called virtues
Tucked under your belt
You tell me I'm wrong
But how can I be right
With a person standing over me
Waiting for me to fail
When I can't go anywhere
Without feeling your eyes
On my back making sure
That I dont do wrong to you
But when you turn and do the same
It doesnt matter
You're always right
So I will lay on your bed of nails
And not put up a fight
And when you raise your hand to me
I'll offer up my cheek
Because I have done nothing wrong
And when I sleep
I sleep in fear
But I'll gladly offer up my other cheek
To you my love
And so finally I lay down
On your bed of nails
On deceit, destruction, and horror
And all your other friends
