let me lie here and reminisce
about the day passed
lying across your chest
listening to your heart beat
as one with mine
melting into the warmth
of your body against mine
5am the alarm will sound
and the demands of a new day
will pull you away
all I want is 1 more hour
24 hours in a day
is not enough
to love you

Blocks of time I manage
to steal you away
checking off days
counting seven
being with you feeling
lost in heaven
never wanting to return
give me 1 more day
7 days in the week
is not enough
to love you

Anniversaries come and go
delighted that in our love
there is still a glow
from our trials and tribulation
sorrows and jubilations
I'm now asking
12 months in the year
surely one more can be added
to love you

As we make love

passion flowing
love still growing

are too much for this life
