Loss Of Friendship

Monday mornin'
My heart was torn.
When she asked if she could date you,
Away they flew,
The dreams of you and I,
When I was forced to say goodbye.
I asked, what did she want?
Now her words and actions become a taunt.
The pain did not become clear,
'Till Tuesday night came near.
2:30 was the time,
5:00 was the chime.
For a few more days,
Life felt like a never ending maze.
I would look into mirrors,
Only to see my tears.
Then came the cruel letter,
That was given to her.
She asks if I want to talk,
But I know it's not the key to this lock.
There are issues that need to be faced,
But the pain will never be erased.
Now that I've been betrayed,
Her friendship will never be remade.
