Your name was on the board today.
It sent shivers up my spine.
I looked at it and realized
You’ve never left my mind.
Its days like these I sit around;
I stare and wonder why
This is how our life turned out.
I just turn my head and sigh.
I don’t want to remember
All those days that we have shared
I don’t want to hear from you
About how you really care.
It shatters my heart into pieces
And it slowly drives me insane.
You are my love forever,
Yet you’re my existence’s bane.
A love like this isn’t meant for us
Yet I’m still not quite so sure.
You seem to be my death
And you seem to be my cure.
