Help My Workin' Blues

Can’t escape the color blue
Oh, Thank God the week is through
Stress has turned my face a pale white
Come let your love just relieve the night.

Lying underneath your sweat
Conscious pain and sorrow cries
All my energy’s been spent
From another bad day gone by

But then I wake to your starry eyes
Your dreaming baby gets me by
My lows of lows see no light
When I wake to your starry eyes

I’m sorry honey
That I couldn’t service you a little better
I’m under weather

I’m say I’m sorry
For the way I’m treating you, Can you forgive me
The day’s been (icky)

But if you come up on me close tonight
And you remind me of those starry eyes
I might forget about my 9 to 5
And let your love just pacify

Cause when I wake up to your starry eyes
Your dreaming baby gets me by
My lows of lows see no light
When I wake next to your starry eyes.
