Would you laugh?
If I said I love you
Would you turn away?
If I told you, you were my best friend
Would you reply the same?
If I mentioned we kissed
Would you deny to all your friends?
If I told you how I feel
Would you even care?
If I told you my past
Would you hold me close?
If I told you of my life
Would you help?
If I called you on your phone
Would you say "I've got to go"?
If I showed you this poem
Would you laugh at it?
And now I'm back to my toughest question
If I said I love you
Would you turn away?
