Good-Bye to my Husband

I like to thank you for all the good things that you have given and shown
me.

But now it is the time for us to part and be set free,
You were my first true love, my very best friend,
This is sad to say this marriage we can’t mend
So with that we will end!

You and your love meant the world to me,
As we part and say our last good-byes please remember
Our pains and sorrows will now be set free.

To be without you was always something I was afraid
For that is why I prayed for the good times and stayed
I never meant to hurt you or make you sad and blue
I am sure what we been through you feel guilty too!

For all we done and accomplished I do thank you
We did make two beautiful kids and that is the most thankful
That we did, the happiness of us making our kids will never be hidden

For the precious gift of these kids you will always
Hold a place in my heart
Even when we depart
I am sorry we got to the point that we fell apart
Now it is the time we both make a new start

This marriage had a lot of ups and downs
So many days that made us both frown.
Our fights have made me feel as a knockdown or was it a pure and simple
letdown

Within the years you have lost that loving feeling,
That was more painful than anything.
Was it too much to ask for a simple touch or a loving soft touch or even a
simple hello?

All I ever wanted was for you to show me your warm love
But it seemed the only love I was showed towards the end of this marriage
was a love of self- love.

My friend, I need a man that can give me and show me joy and pleasure.
Someone that isn’t afraid to show me the loving feeling
I need full time feeling of love, not just a plaything

You were my first, my first of love -making, my first love, my first beloved
friend, and my companionship

It’s sad to say we let this slip
But my friend let me give you a small tip

Don’t make the same mistake twice
So think twice, don’t sacrifice and remember our mistakes and take my
advice!

You are my friend

You will forever hold a special place in my heart

I will never forget you
