Coal Mines

Buried deep in the coal mines,
among the rubble, down past the breathing air...
lays the hope and love we once shared.

So unreachable now you are,
the memories we had are lost forever in the dead flower's remains.
All the pains, nothing gained.

Your fortune and my failure,
the ending of one's love.

Your gift, God-sent,
my Hell, brought along by you.

All our dues are paid,
nothing left to be said.

Buried so deeply, in the black mist,
beyond the harden hearts, my heart,
bleeding and covered in scars.
