when i look into your eyes
all i see is a burning flame
a person still searching for that something
but when all goes wrong, you have yourself to blame
you hear all these rumors and lies
and losing someone is no surprise
but still their love strives
to keep their relationship alive

when that day comes when you lose all your faith
and all you can think of is how you hurt that person so bad
yet they feel that the best think to do is let go
but you still feel they're the only person you had
so, you try to be strong and take your heart
to find a place down the middle you can part
a thin line between sweet and tart
and try to deal with this ugly art

now, all you have is that one tru friend
that will for eternity will be there
the one that will always hear your call
and will always love and care
everytime you look into their eyes
you begin to realize
that's all you wanted your whole life
and take their hand and hide all your cries

so you're left with an enemy
and a selfish friend
always remember something bad
will always need something good to get by in the end
