And Still The Rain Falls

Many miles across the sea,
A family sits to eat.
With nothing but one pig a year,
Still 10 people take a seat.
They have nothing left to live on,
Yet the joy that they posess,
Makes many who are bickering,
Shut their mouths from protest.
Never to have heard Christ's name,
They have no hope at all.
But "the Lord sends lightning with the rain",
And still the rain falls.

A young girl hides her face,
Not wanting to show her eyes.
Knowing by showing her true self,
She must take back all her lies.
Depressed is the heart that beats witihin,
Though a smile covers good.
She knows the answers, she knows the truth,
Or atleast she knows she should.
For so long she lived in mourning,
Ignoring the Father's call.
Still "the Lord sends lightning with the rain",
And still the rain falls.

A family sits and waits,
For news from overseas.
With one son already away at war,
They get down on their knees.
"Oh Lord bring healing to this land.
Oh Lord, please, hear our cries."
The door bell rings they're filled with fear,
As they all lift up their eyes.
The news they had been dreading:
"His plane took a fall".
Yet "the Lord sends lightning with the rain",
And still the rain falls.

I guess the reason for this mess,
Is merely to make you think.
There are those in this world,
Who cut and smoke and drink.
Searching for happiness,
That's right beneath their nose.
Though their pride is too tough,
So to the alter they wont go.
There's more to this world,
Than your own selfish pride.
There are those who are to come,
Who wont get a chance at life.
So think twice when you complain,
This life is working out well.
Anythings better than the latter,
We should all be in Hell.
