What will happen when the storm comes?
What will happen when I face it alone?
What will happen when it’s fury is unleashed,
And my future is unknown?
What will happen when I have no faith?
What will happen when I can’t go on?
What will happen when I have to give up,
Thinking I am wrong?
Will you stand with me with the storm comes?
Will you stand with me so I am not alone?
Will you stand with me against the fury
Though our future be unknown?
Will you be my faith when I have none left?
Will you help me to go on?
Will you keep me from giving up,
And tell me I am not wrong?
When the storm comes, I’ll be waiting.
When the storm comes, I’ll be strong.
When the storm comes, I’ll face it bravely,
Knowing I am not wrong.
When the storm comes, I’ll step up to it.
When the storm comes, I’ll face it head on.
When the storm comes, I’ll be ready,
And I will say, “Bring it on!”
I wasn't sure to put this in friendship or religion because when i
started it, i got the title from a devotion book, and I was writing it about
a friend of mine. Then as i continued to write it i realized that it applied
to God. When i finished i decided on religion because God will never let you
down and even though friends seem strong theyre not perfect. Just a little
insight.
PS--Yes, to reply to negroshoes comment, it was supposed to be redundant. I
tend to write my poems, often restating the theme. I like them like
that...sometimes. Plus, this was written at 2 am, while doing devotions. I
just wrote what i felt, and that's all i can do.
