He offered her a drink
She tossed herself to the side and ignored him completely
He scratched his head and sat closer
Lady, I assure you I don't bite...
he said with a comfort in his voice
She finally agreed to listen
He told her a little about himself
but at first she wasn't interested at first
but then he said something about losing a friend dear to him
and her eyes lit up with empathy
she knew the pain he felt
She grasped his hand and smiled sweetly
They talked for hours in their own little world and drank till the bar
closed
Afterwards they decided to walk together
but nature was calling her so she quickly hurried to the bathroom
he waited outside for her at his normal bus stop
She tried to go faster but the line was unbelievable
At the same time the bus arrived
he hesitated at first but decided to get on
She came running out five minutes too late
He was already long gone
so she dropped her head and walked home alone
She dropped her keys on the counter and flipped through the channels
the news came on with an update
a local rapist and killer was identified and jailed today
for killing seven innocent girls
A picture flashed, it was him, she gasped in awe and felt a huge ache in her
heart
he lied...
remember, people aren't always what they seem to be.
