where has my life gone
sometimes its hard to see
what direction i am going
and where i wanna be

the memories are painful
and i re-live them like they're real
its like im trapped within my fears
is this how i'm supposed to feel

the answer lies behind my smile
its easy if you try
if only you'd look closer
you'd see a lonely girl cry

you'd never know how it feels
you don't know how hard i'm trying
to hide from the world behind a fake smile
but inside im slowly dying
