I see you, I walk faster
Trying to catch up and say hi
I call you, then I have to go
Why is it so hard to say bye
I pass you in the halls
You drop your books
I race over to help
As we share knowing looks
Those who pass think you’re
Just a friend
What they don’t know
That’s only the message we send
No one suspects
That we’re really going out
Friends always joke about it
But our minds never doubt
They tell me we would be perfect
I only give them a smile
We laugh about it a few minutes
After I pick up the phone and dial
Hiding our love from the world
A secret that makes this so sweet
For we needn’t anything but ourselves
To be so complete
