She stares at the empty space in her locker
Cleaning it up real well
She wants no one to see her
As she gives the school one last glance
But as she walks,
She bumps into this guy
A guy she barely knows
For a moment she swears he looked into her eyes
And felt her pain
He asked what she was doing
With all her stuff
She answered Taking them home
Because I must
He glanced at her puzzled
His gleaming green eyes shining
Told her to come with him
He doesnt want to go without her
She said alright, one final time before i go
But as that day past, she grew fond of him
And she decided not to end her life that day
The days went past, and the years went too
Graduation came, they asked her to speak
She talked of him, who died a week before
A car crash took his life
And she talked about that day
She emptied her locker
"He was very sweet and kind
But he didn't know, I was emptying to go home and die
He didn't know this, but he noticed me
He actually gave me a chance
He didn't see me as an outcast
Or a lonely girl wearing all black
He saw me as a person
And he was the bestest friend I've ever had
If he were here right now
He'd hold me close and never let go
But now he's gone
I will always remember that day
He was the person
The person who looked past the scars"
Graduation ended
His parents took her aside
Told her he spoke of her often
Before he died
"He said you were beautiful
And a little strange too
He knew about the day
You wanted to end your strife..
That's why he talked to you
He wanted to see what you were like,
Even before that day
He spoke of you
How he saw you in the lunchroom
Sitting alone with noone to talk to
Be thankful young girl
He was a pure angel"
She went home that day
She wept and wept
And she went to sleep, thinking of the angel
That saved her life, and became her best friend.
