Running

You're running from the real world
To find there's no such thing
Are you living in a dream world,
Is this just a fantasy?

My friend, you've got no place to turn
There is no where else to go
You can't stay in this place and burn,
But there's no one here you know.

This place is full of emptiness, my friend,
There's not one familiar face
It's a barren wasteland with no end,
And you're lost without a trace.

So now, my friend, where will you run,
From what you cannot see?
My friend, all you can do is run,
From what was once reality.

My friend, you think you're almost there,
"But where is there?" you ask.
You're blind and can't get anywhere
You're surely not up to the task.

You think that you have lost it all
My friend, you're sure you are done.
There's no one there to break your fall,
But I won't let you be outrun.

You seem so afriad, my friend,
But there's nothing left to fear.
Don't worry about a thing, my friend,
For I am standing here.

Didn't you know that I'd always care?
I've run with you through it all.
Just reach out and I am there,
And I'll catch you when you fall.
