What a lonely day
for Emerald mMcdee
her grandmother died
when she was only three
and left the earth
wilted and expired
made her give up
and admit she was tired
but somewhere in the middle
of dazed and confused
she found a pair of ruby red shoes
and axuously clicked them together with pride
and smiled at the visions she saw in her eyes
lolly-pop trees
and a vast ocean view
munchkins and witches
and the whole oz crew
but still she felt increasing pain
she hid her face and it started to rain
for she knew this fairtale could never be
no beautiful ocean, and no lollypop trees
for in reality this would never be here
I'm sorry
there's no such thing as happily ever after my dear
