You promised me a while ago
That you would always be there for me.
You were as I went through some of my rivers,
But you weren't when I went through my sea.

This was one of the biggest challenges
I've ever had to face
I called you and thought that
You would help me through that place.

I waited for you to call me back
But the phone never made a sound.
I figured you worked late and were busy,
But no good excuse could be found.

If you would have called me
With a problem that you had
I would have dropped everything
To be with you when you were sad.

Maybe I'm making this a bigger deal
Than what i really should
But then again you promised me
That you would be there, you would!
