Fire Inside

One on one- not to be undone
Set ablaze as the reddened sun
Face to face but all alone
Beauty’s bright but it could’ve shown
The devil’s eye-
In turn of lust in the rye
Fire! Fire- let it be
Run too close- too close to me
Far, away so very far
Keep me from my agony- stay behind your bars
Hide me- no, let me be
Follow me instead, show me the way
Smother yourself in this muddy clay
-The fire’s still burning, still feeding
-Find myself wanting, still needing
Feeding, yes, our lifeless souls
Run-run and hide from your goals
Consume everything in our path-
For we are the fury- doth hath
