I’m finally letting go
I’ve been waiting so long
The feeling inside would not subside
It’s been tugging my heart for much too long

The rope was wearing thin
A few strands were left for me to hang
With one last sigh I cut it loose
There’s nothing left to say

There will never be a day
You will ever hear me say
That I need you by my side
I can make it by myself...I was alone when I cried

Why should I waste my life?
On something that just cant be
Hoping that in time...
Maybe you’ll finally see

But time has past
I’ve watched the days go
This tear shall be the last
And again my heart will with begin to glow
