Little Girl

I’m lying by my bedside once more
Staring at these four white walls
I though I had control but lost my grip
How could you let me fall?

As a little girl you held my hand
Told me you’d never let me go
Now you’re just a blurred vision
And the little girl inside just doesn’t know

In my dreams you’re just as real
As the sun that warms my face
But with the sound of my alarm my eyes open wide
You’re in a much farther place

The path that I follow is much too dim
I need a light to follow when I walk alone
These winding trails only lead me deeper into the shadows
Hold my hand once more, and guide this little girl home
