You are a riddle,
That I cannot seem to solve.
Every time I feast into your eyes,
My thoughts seem to dissolve.

The way you stare at me,
Its like you already know:
the way you make me feel,
The way you make me glow.

My face burns with anxiety.
My cheeks flush with red.
Im trying to remember the words-
That were meant to be said.

You melt my words like butter
They don’t roll off my tongue
They are constricted in the back of my throat
The seconds seem to prolong.

As I try to break the silence,
My words stumble into a mess.
My heart begins to race;
It pounds through my chest.

So while your making my tongue tied,
And causing my thoughts to crash,
The world around me stops.
Time isn’t moving fast.
