Rain, Rain
Rainy day
Will it wash my blues away?
Will it rain for a million years?
Can it take away these tears?
Outside my window the sun is shining
but my pain, the rain is hiding.
I head outside to let the rain
come over me, my fears to tame..
I stand here, struck in this rain
feeling nothing, and you're to blame.
The rain seeps down into my skin
searching for a soul lost within.
It cannot clean what it does not see
just look at what you've done to me.
Once I stood tall, my will intact
you've done things you can't take back
confidence shattered, why can't you see?
Just let the rain wash over me.
Rain, Rain
Rainy day
Will you wash these thoughts away?
