I wish I had Said

You ever wish you had a chance
To turn the hands of time?

To go back and say the words
That you were never able to find?

I wish I had said
What I’ve wanted to say.

Instead of sitting here alone
Regretting it each day.

I would have told you
How much you mean to me.

How you’ve filled the emptiness in my heart
And brought me back to reality.

How you’ve changed my world
With just a simple smile.

How the days we spent together
Was all worthwhile.

I wish I would have had the guts
Just to say “I Love You.”

But I only said “goodbye”
Thinking it best you never knew.

I let a lifetime of dreaming pass me by;
All I said was "good luck on your wedding day"
And I promised myself I wouldn’t cry.
