You were my savior, you were my soul
You were the one who made my life whole
You made me smile through all the tears that I cried
I even felt your warmth on the day that you died
You weren't much to look at, with your soft wrinkled skin
But you were the one who kept me safe from him
You had a scent of wisdom with a touch of care
You made me feel like you'd always be there
However with life comes death and you had to leave
I will never understand why god took you from me
You were my angel, my savior, my world
I was your neighbor, your friend, your little girl
I no longer feel the love you showed me
I no longer have faith, I no longer believe
I wish I had your love at my side
I wish you never had died
I wish you could give me advice
I wish I could give you life
