They didn't notice
They didn't notice her
They didn't notice her when hair turned black
They didn't notice when she got a new wardrobe
They didn't notice the change in her step
They didn't notice she no longer looked up at the sky
They didn't notice the tears she wiped away
They didn't notice she was in pain

She knew they'd never notice
So she turned in into a game
She tried to see how far she could go
Till they noticed even a subtle change

They didn't notice when she was sad
They didn't notice when she did good
They didn't notice who she was
They didn't notice she had something to say
They didn't notice her face on that stormy night
They didn't notice the knife missing from the butchers block
They didn't notice the way she said goodnight
They didn't notice the stillness in the air
They didn't notice she did not wake for work

She was so tired
So tired of not being notice
She said goodnight
To withdraw to her room
She took a knife to her wrists
She let her self go numb

She didn't notice when she died
No one did till they came home
She thought she could do nothing to be noticed
But what she thought was completely wrong
They noticed the puddle of blood when they opened the door
They noticed her black mascara smeared as if she cried till death
They noticed she surrounded herself by toys so she wouldn't feel alone

So in her sad death she had gotten what she deserved
For everyone who didn't care, finally noticed her
