I can still hear the steady beat of your heart, as I lay across your chest.
I wake up to find instead,
a tree branch hitting the window
AsI lye there wide awake,
I think of how you would lye
next to me,
and tell me you loved me.

A couple months later,
our love is shattered
like a delicate piece of glass.
a couple bumps on the way,..
and it comes crashing down...
we both never really knew, knew what had brought us down
so abruptly.
but the time we shared...
yes..it was the best.

You showed me how to love,
truley you did
and I thank you will all my heart
and soul
for that..was the best thing, you ever gave me.
