In his eyes was a glimpse of heaven
In his smile he showed the happiness he had
When he was with her
In his mind were thoughts of her
Memories new and old of them together
Everything that has a beginning has an end
And soon the happiness he had
And memories he held close, had faded away into black
Her heart that followed close to his
Was left alone, to dwell on emptiness that filled the air
And the strength that she once had has turned to weakness
With little to comfort her, she pushes forward
To rise from despair
