Crystal Ball

My crystal ball shows it all
It stops the storms and falling rain
I can see past these bricks and walls
But reality just isn’t the same

I wasn’t ready to know the truth
To realize I’ve been living a lie
You still have all that’s within
And this glass records my everlasting cries

A part of you is locked in my soul
The key is lost somewhere deep in my heart
There is no point in throwing away what has made me whole
Pounding on my chest is the pain of our depart

Wake me up
To where the wind blows through my hair
To where my windows are no longer boarded
Save me from the unknown to which I am unaware

Smoke swirls until revealing an image
You held me in your arms when I was about to fall
But as the last few grains of sand diminished from the hourglass
What was meant to be, was blurred in my vision
Until the end of time ill look over my dreams
All in the swirls of smoke, of this crystal ball
