My Teddy Bear

As you lay your head down to go to sleep
You try, but lay wide awake
You can't help but try and figure out your problem
Your problem way down deep

You try once again, and close each eye
But you only toss and turn
Each time with a sigh

Silence is what you want to keep
But you can't help it
So you hug your teddy and try to cry yourself to sleep

The next day comes
And you never got to sleep more than an hour
So you thought what would wake you up
Would be a nice, hot shower

But the shower didn't help alot
At least as much as you had thought

So you walk into your room
And rested against your pillow is your teddy bear
You smile, theres no more gloom

You smile because your Best Friend gave you that teddy bear
You pick him up and give him a bear hug
Because you know your Best Friend will always care

So you call her up on the phone
And as you hear her voice say "hello"
You begin to cry
Because your Best Friend cares like no one you've known

So thank your Best Friend
For everything they have done for you
And they will thank you
For everything you have done for them, too
