Our Goodbyes

How can a beautiful smile,
Turn into such a frown?
I was used to looking the world in the face
Now I’m always looking down
The love we once held tight
Was let lose and lost at once
I know in time ill heal
It just takes some patience
All that is left is a blanket of tears
That covers one end of the phone to the other
In a world where nothing is perfect
I found perfection in your eyes
A sparkle that could be seen for miles,
Is now just a reflection of lies
I dreaded for this day to come
It landed upon me too soon
And now we must say our goodbyes
